HEY FAMILY!!!!
It was super good to hear from you guys this week:)  It sounds like everything is going pretty well except the lack of work issue:(  I am kinda confused, if we can't build the apartments at grandma's place, than where are these potential apartments being built?  Dad have you purchased more land somewhere that these will go up?  Anyways, hopefully the Brian Head job will work out!  Finding more work is always in my prayers:)  well, here is the news on transfers. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  I AM STAYING! yay!  President is throwing me all kinds of new responsibilites haha, I am going to be training AGAIN:( :)  I am happy/nervous/scared about that.  With training elder pace, I have realized that it is pretty hard haha, but I am excited.  I am going to be giving birth to my child on wednesday!  Most of the missionaries coming out are going to be spanish speaking, so hopefully the english ones are going to be really cool.  President also wants me to be District Leader.  Which is going to be different. . But I am going to be getting a car which is good!  My area is already pretty small to begin with, so me and my new comp are really going to have to plan alot to do each day because we will be able to get from place to place very quickly.  But yeah, I am going to be in this area probably at least 3 more months!  So That means by the end I will have been here 7 1/2 months!  that is quite a long time in one area, but I am excited.  The ward here is amazing, and hopefully we will be able to get some more missionary work going.  We have quite a few investigators but most of them aren't truely interested and aren't progressing very fast or at all.  So we are going to have to get out there and find!!!!!  It was pretty fun we went to a departing missionary fireside last night, and 18 elders are going home!  I was good friends with several of them so that was weird seeing them head off.  They were all super nervous haha.  But I sat next to Elder Bigler aka my trainer so that was good to talk with him for a while.  His family is buying a house in st george!  So he is most likely going to move from black foot idaho to st george!  That would be pretty awesome.  But yeah, all is well.  The district that I will be serving in is going to be very different from the one that we have right now.  I am going to be taking over the DL spot from our current DL who is in manhatten beach.  He is very excited to leave that area because the missionary work is super hard haha.  But yeah, Elder Pace is going to be heading off.  He is pretty cool about the whole thing, doesn't seem very nervous at all.  I was very nervous when I first got transfered haha.  So I am proud of him.  He is going to be an awesome missionary wherever he goes.  Thank youk for the package mom!  It was amazing as usuall.  Especially all that strawbery jam:)  I have been loading up on that every day haha.  Renka!  It sounds like you are goin to be getting a car soon!!!!!!  That is awesome:)  That will make high school even more fun.  Make sure you go to all the activites this next year, it will go by fast, and that is where alot of the good memories are made is with your friends at all the sporting events.  I am still trying to grasp the fact that Blackie is gone:(  But, it was his time.  He was getting pretty dang old.  He would have been in his 90's in human years!  I GOT THE BEST KEYBOARD EVER!!!  i don't think I told you guys about this last week, but this non member lady who I played the piano for on her kawai grand piano, hooked me up with a kawai S1 keyboard!  It is a FULL keyboard!  My ward mission leader looked it up on craigs list and it booked at 1000 dollars!!!!  haha Mom I wil be sending you the lady's address is so you could send her a thank you card or something.  After I got done playing for her I asked her if there was any good places around here that I could get a keyboard, and she was like, well, one of my students just barely got a brand new keyboard, and his old keybaord is just chilling at his house!!! So she talked with them, and they gave it to me for free!  It has a music stand, a stand for the keyboard to sit on, and even came with a bench!  haha I was super excited.  I have been playing every chance I get:)  Anyways, everything is going really well!  Thank you for all the love and support.  I know that we will be getting some work coming up, as long as we keep it in our prayers, and fasting for it would be a very good idea as well Mom.  Thank you for all that you do.
Love, Elder Carter the 5th

My Dearest Handsome Elder Jesse,
I Love You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well we just had a Wonderful Spaghetti Dinner at Dustin and Hillary's with Ryan and Meagan.  We played Rook and Kenny was the Grand Winner!!!!!!!!!!!  Little Libby wanted me to hold her, I put my lipstick on her and showed her how pretty she looked in the mirror.  She also wanted to wear my bracelet's and loved my grey rose purse.  Trevy is getting SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Big and loves his house and his very own room.  Dustin and Hillary's house is fixed SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute as Hillary is very very handy and has made a lot of things.
Yesterday we went up the the Cabin and had a fun Steak Fish dinner with Shawn, Lindsey, Harlie, and Keegee.  Kenny played the old piano and I danced with Harlie.  The kids took us on a fun 4-wheel ride down the main road at dusk and honestly we saw at least 30 deer and 3 Mama deer with their little fawn's - One little Mama had a set of twin fawn's.  One deer ran right out in front of us, that could have been bad when we were going along.  We went down the main road for quite a ways and then they took us to a big swimming hole where the water come's out of a big pipe that was really pretty.  We really had a fun time and wished that we could have stayed - we came off the mountain really late at night which probably wasn't such a good idea with the deer all around at night - Daddie is an Amazing driver.  When we were driving up to the cabin a "sweet" black sport type car hit a deer and there were skid marks everywhere.
Well I hope you are receiving your packages on Friday as I forgot to put Perishable on the outside - I will try to remember.  Your email last week was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO encouraging and we truly are proud of You and all of Your many Great Goals.  You are an Amazing Missionary - California is really really Blessed by You and Your Spirit and Musical Talent.  Right now Kenny is playing the piano that always soothes my heart and many thought's.
Daddie continues to work very hard as usual and always carry's a heavy burden with all the worries of work especially that of having work not only for us but for Dustin and Ryan and other workers.  The Brian Head job is in a waiting  mode as they have been drilling 1500ft for water and are not sure if they are going to find enough water for the water pump.  There have been other problem's as indicated but Daddie was able to work all of those out so just pray that they will find enough water so we can do that job which we will not know about until the end of August.  About the Apartment's for Grandma, well because of the city ordinance's we will not be able to build Apartment's for Grandma.  She just had my old house fixed up and Ryan has helped her to get it rented for school coming up.  There are a lot of tender memories' from my old house.  But Daddie and Chad bought some property for a good price and have been really thinking about building their own apartment's - it's a big risk right now with the economy and difficulties' in the world as you know.  I just told Daddie that we need to fast and pray and Heavenly Father will let us know if building the apartment's would be a good thing for us and the boys right now.  Please pray with us as we really need work - Daddie and the Boy's have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much Talent and Abilities - if you just look around the city we have pretty much built this city including the beautiful building's on the College Campus.  It's hard to go down to the yard and  just see all of our work trailer's just sitting there.
Moosey is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny, he just love's his pacifier and he Loves Me.  Niki is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny because she loves to cuddle up next to Daddie and he claims that he doesn't love dogs.
Kenny will probably be getting a car this week as Daddie and Kenny went to the bank to get a pre-approved loan - Kenny has been saving his hard earned money his whole life and is really excited.  Kenny is a really good driver - I can hardly wait until he can drive me to St. George again for a day of fun - he is Wonderful.
Daddie's garden is really looking nice - as you know just Daddie and Kenny weed the garden now - I try to keep the weeds down around our home and work on our never ending yard.  Kenny has been spending hours on the yard also planting Beautiful flowers - Daddie pulled out some old stumps with some chains and the truck as some of the plants had pretty much died but had deep root's.

I am sending You ALL My LOVE "Wrapped" in LOVE.
Remember, remember my Son - "Love softens the Heart"

Boy it seems like the summer has gone by fast - I am going to really try to enjoy every minute with Kenny before he start's school as a Junior.  I was looking in a magazine yesterday and saw Halloween and Christmas decoration's - I could hardly believe it.  One of my favorite things to do is to swing on the deck, smell the air especially when it is barely raining, look at our Beautiful Mountain, and remember You and Hawaii.  I Love You with All My Heart and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Proud of You.
I guess I will wash my hair - everyone is in bed and the babies (dogs) are asleep right by me.
Have an Amazing week and know that YOU are the BEST MISSIONARY in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Jesse,
This past week I went on missionary splits. We fed them then we hopped in the car and I drove them to where ever they desired:) We first went to the Lovelands.  The wife was just barely baptized but the guy I don't think had been . We taught them about missionary work and did a role play of me and brother Loveland it was pretty fun then after that we went to some other places down in the ghetto's of CC it was quite scary but sadly the people didn't answer their doors. One lady had her music blasting in the upstairs of her house but once we knocked she turned off the music so we would think she wasn't there then after knocking a couple times we saw her walk right past the door!! Once we started to leave she turned her music back on! It was way funny but also sad. Then we went to some other places but once again no one answered so we stopped by Elder Herr and Elder Garza's apartment and they showed me around it wasn't much but I'm sure that's how all missionary places are. haha It was quite the experience but It was awesome to see how a missionary's life is. Elder Garza taught himself the piano and even made his own keyboard with clothes pins haha but I told him to come to our house on his p-day's so he could practice. On Friday me and Dad went to Mountain America and got pre-approval for my loan:) I'm gonna spend 6,500 on the car and put down 1,000 so my loan will be like 5,500 I'm pretty excited. Keith is going to look on his site for some cars and then show me on his big screen what he can find then on friday is when the auction is so he'll probally go down to vegas and get it! So in just a few days I'll have one so hopefully next time I'll tell you what kind I got. But that's about it for me so hope everyting's going well and I'll talk to you later.

Love, Kenny

Jesse,
It was good to hear from you last week.  It sounds like you have really loved this area but if you are transferred you will learn to love your next area just as much or even more!  We will probably not know for a couple of weeks about the Brian Head job.  They will be finishing up the well and then decide if there is enough water to proceed with the project.  I think we will start on the preliminary work for the apartments as a filler until we decide to either proceed with the apartments or find some more work.
I am very proud of you and your hard work.  Brother Beckstrom was over at our house today.  He had a missionary experience with his wife on a fishing trip to San Diego and he said it immediately reminded him of you.  Many people ask about you and how you are doing.  It is nice to be able to report that you are doing so well.
Love,
Dad
